GEMS and Cadet Classes Resume September 13 at 7:00 p.m.
It has been a fun summer of activities with the GEMS and Cadets. Some of the kids have been on two camping trips, a night of bowling, building their own cars for the Pinewood Derby, and of course an adventure with a shaggy dog.
Now it’s time to get back to our regular schedule with some great teaching from the bible and catechism. We are excited to have Frank and Paula Meads overseeing the GEMS and Cadets this year.
GEMS

The name GEMS stands for Girls Everywhere Meeting the Savior. Our club's motto is found in 1 Chronicles 16:34: "Give thanks to the LORD: for he is good; his love endures forever." This year's GEMS theme will be "Livin' the Secret! Having a Thankful Heart ".
In our meetings we will do a variety of activities. Each grade level will explore, discover, and learn more about God's world, and how God has gifted each one. When we meet together to study the Bible, praise God, work on our lessons, badges, and crafts, our GEMS Club is in training to put their faith in action serving and sharing the love of Jesus Christ.

Cadet Corp
Who: Boys in grades 1 through 8

We are a Christian "Boy Scout" type club. The Cadet Corps is a nationwide organization which began in the mid-1950's. For many of our activities, boys are separated into grades (cadres). Our meetings consist of a general assembly, individual cadre Bible lessons, craft/merit badge work, game time, and snack.
