Update from Dr. Dale Knutson

Medical Campus Outreach (on the campus of the Medical College of Georgia) has been ministering to students for more than a decade.  Each year the ministry takes students out of the US to provide medical care, teach about medical diseases seen outside the US and disciple the students in their walk with Christ.  On February 8-22 thirty students from Medical Campus Outreach through Mission to the World with ten doctors will minister to the church and poor in Kampot province in Cambodia. Mission to the World Cambodia began working in December 2008 with an association of about 40 churches.  The leaders of the association are Khmer believers who have a heart to spread the gospel.  Since December 2008 we have held several medical clinics in some of the churches.  Each time we hold a medical clinic or provide a day of Bible training they express gratitude and tell us that God is at work in their communities.

Pray with us that the senior medical students from the Medical College of Georgia will be instruments in the hands of the redeemer as they minister to these churches.  During the ten days of clinics we will be able to hold twenty different clinics, as the group of 40 will be divided.  One of our great needs now is translators.  In the past we have had the luxury of local medical students helping us with translation.  During the time the MCO team is here the students have exams.  Therefore, they will be unavailable.

In addition to praying for translators we ask prayer for all the details that need attention with the logistics of this team.  We look forward to hearing of the transforming power of Christ working in the hearts and minds of his people.
