Prof. Ken Samples' Sunday School Lectures

Is Jesus a Man, Myth, Madman, Menace, Mystic, Martian, or the Messiah?

Crosses.jpgHistoric Christianity is all about Jesus-his identity, message, and mission. For two millennia the Christian church has viewed Jesus as the divine Messiah whose life, death, and resurrection are God's means for forgiving repentant sinners.

But is it intellectually credible to believe that Jesus Christ was actually God Incarnate? Are there other acceptable alternatives to his identity? This series of lectures will show that Christianity’s central truth claim that Jesus is God, stands the test of reason and history and that the historic Christian faith is therefore powerfully warranted. Our textbook for this series will be “Without a Doubt: Answering the 20 Toughest Faith Questions” (Baker, 2004), chapter 8.
