At our last council meeting, the council of Christ Reformed Church unanimously voted to extend a pastoral call to Mr. Yi Wang, to serve as associate minister of Word and Sacraments with the specific purpose of laboring as a Church Planter-Pastor. The decision of the council to call and ordain Mr. Wang must be ratified by a vote of the congregation. The council also unanimously approved using $90,000 from the earnings on our investments to financially assist this new church plant. This action also requires ratification by a congregational vote.
The consistory requests that all church members be in attendance on Sunday, November 3 at 9:00 a.m., in the fellowship hall. The Lord is doing marvelous things in our midst! Please continue to pray that Jesus Christ be glorified through this wonderful mission work.

The next new member’s class at Christ Reformed Church will begin on Sunday, September 29. Classes will be held in room 601 from 9:00-10:00 a.m. for six weeks. Dr. Riddlebarger will cover Introduction to the History and Ethos of Christ Reformed Church, History of the Reformed Churches, Reformed Church Government and Polity, Why We Worship the Way We do, The Sacraments, The Privileges and Responsibilities of Church Membership. Girls Everywhere Meeting the Savior (GEMS) provides an opportunity for young girls to grow not only in their faith but in their relationship with each other.

We are currently on our summer schedule at Christ Reformed Church. Bible study and Academy classes will resume in September.
Save the date! The church picnic will be held on Saturday, June 22 from 10:00 a.m. – 3:00 p.m. at Sycamore Park in Anaheim Hills. In addition to the Deacons and Elders softball game, there will be games for the kids, fellowship and good food.
We will have the picnic catered again this year with some yummy tacos. Lunch is free for the first 100 church members. Come join us for a day of fun as we relax and have the opportunity to visit with old friends and make new ones too. Additional details will follow in the weeks to come.
Dr. Kim Riddlebarger will be discussing the covenant of grace, one of the key features of Reformed theology. We will talk about the biblical basis for such a covenant, along with the nature and conditions of this covenant which lay at the heart of the gospel.

Dr. Riddlebarger will conclude our class “Make the case for Christianity”. This Wednesday, we come to the final plank in our case for Christianity. What does Scripture say about itself?

Dr. Riddlebarger will begin a new three week series for Sunday school — The Covenant of Grace. We will be discussing the covenant of grace, one of the key features of Reformed theology. We will talk about the biblical basis for such a covenant, along with the nature and conditions of this covenant which lay at the heart of the gospel.
